DAWSONVILLE, GA., Jan. 13, 2014 — The National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS), a leading staffing industry educator, is pleased to announce the appointment of Trinette Cunningham as President.

Trinette Cunningham is a nonprofit and event management professional with more than 18 years of combined association development, event operations and sales experience.

In 2005, after a six-year tenure as the executive director of the Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA), she founded the nonprofit and event management consulting company, TR2 Consulting.

At TR2 Consulting, Cunningham specializes in financial management, membership/attendance growth, marketing communications, exhibit/sponsorship sales and event logistics.

"I joined the NAPS organization because I believe that our vision and mission to connect, serve, protect, inform and represent all facets of the professional staffing industry is just getting started," said Cunningham.

John Sacerdote has served as president of NAPS for two-and-a-half years. Prior to this role, Sacerdote was the vice president of NAPS from 2001 to 2011. He has been involved with NAPS since 1987, when they first purchased his software to run the association. With Cunningham at the helm, Sacerdote will continue to be involved as a special consultant, and he’s excited to welcome Cunningham.

"I am thrilled to pass the torch to Trinette, who I know to be talented and thoughtful," said John Sacerdote. "She was the unanimous choice of the NAPS team. While I will continue a very active role at the Association, I enthusiastically welcome Trinette as our new leader. I am confident in her abilities and excited for the future of the NAPS."

Cunningham’s passion is to help her clients get to the proverbial “next level.” Her strengths include identifying operational effectiveness, increasing the value proposition of both an association and event and properly utilizing board members, committees and staff.
