ORA Recognizes Three Members for Outstanding Contributions to Recruiting Profession

COLUMBUS - The Ohio Recruiters Association recognized three search firm professionals for contributions to the recruiting industry at their annual fall conference held in Columbus October 19.

“It is an honor to recognize these search professionals for their contributions to the Ohio Recruiters Association,” said Catherine Reynolds, past president and board member. “This year’s recipients are business leaders who invest in their employees and in their communities. We are grateful for their leadership and proud of their contributions to the recruiting profession.”

Aaron Wandtke – Founders Award Recipient
The Founders Award is given to a past Board member who has made outstanding contributions to the association. This year, the Board recognized Aaron Wandtke, founder and senior partner of Executive Staffing Solutions, a healthcare search firm in Worthington. Aaron served as president of the Ohio Recruiters Association from 2002 to 2003. In addition to serving as the Certification Chair, he has been a long-time adviser to the association. Aaron is also has made national contributions as former Chair of the National Association of Personnel Services.

In her nomination, Kat Hudson of Executive Staffing Solutions lauded Aaron’s commitment to training and certification, noting that he pays for his staff to attend recruiting conferences. “Aaron has contributed significantly to my success as a recruiter, and life is forever changed for the better because of the impact he has had on my career,” she said.

Evelyn Hronec – Apex Award Recipient
The Apex Award is given to a member who has made outstanding contributions to the recruiting profession through education and training. This year’s Apex Award winner is Evelyn Hronec. She is the founder and managing director of Creative Financial Staffing of northeast Ohio, which specializes in financial recruiting. In addition, Evelyn has served as Treasurer and President of the Ohio Recruiters Association.

In her nomination, Jill Grimm of F&C Executive Search & Recruiting wrote, “Evelyn is a true leader in the recruiting profession. She runs three offices in Northeast Ohio and speaks both locally and nationally on employment and hiring issues. She also dedicates much of her time to building the profession and giving back. She has generously shared her learning with me personally and also with the Ohio Recruiters Association.”

Bruce Bille – Spirit Award
The Spirit Award based on an ORA member’s commitment to giving back through community service. This year’s recipient is Bruce Bille, founder and president of Technical Staffing Professionals LLC, based in Warren. He was commended for community involvement, most notably for his work with military service organizations. Bruce has been active in leadership positions including the Cleveland chapter of the US Naval Academy Alumni and the USO of Northern Ohio. Bruce was instrumental in establishing a USO Lounge at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station. He had the full project management responsibility for the layout, designation and purchase of equipment, painting and decoration, and all fundraising activity to pay for the equipment and transformation. This USO Lounge is the first one at an Air Reserve Station in the country.

Founded in 1997, the Ohio Recruiters Association serves the search and recruiting industry by providing educational opportunities and best practices for its members.
