How to Separate Fact from Fiction When Hiring Recruiters

Presented by
Tonya Devane

When

2/4/2016

Highlights

Hiring recruiters is tough. How many times have you hired an “order taker” when you what you need is an “order maker”?  True sales aptitude is key since unlike a regular sales transaction, recruiting involves at least three, sometimes more, sales cycles for one placement. You need a vacancy from a new or existing client (preferably one your recruiter knew about even before the client!), you need interest from quality candidates, and then you need them brought together in a perfect package. It’s kind of like arranging a blind date between a crazy cat lady and a metropolitan stock broker. It’s a tall order and we’ve all hired someone who did great in the interview, only to fail miserably and quickly.

Improve your selection process and weed out the bravado. Learn how to separate true recruiters from fast talkers who can’t fill out a form much less an open position! This presentation is designed to increase your results and efficiency in building a dynamic recruitment team. Learn how to create an interview strategy, ask behavioral questions, not settle for vague answers, prescreen and enhance listening skills. Behavioral interview basics, interactive role playing and convenient interview question handouts are included.

In this webinar you’ll learn:

  •         What qualities make the best recruiters and how to interview for those qualities
  •         How to recognize real sales aptitude and weed out the phonies
  •         How to listen for the right communication and relationship building skills

Combating Chronic Career Disorder (CCD)

Presented by
Frank Burtnett

When

Wednesday 1/13/2016
12:00 PM EST

Highlights
Search and staffing professionals encounter candidates on a daily basis who are experiencing what educator and author Frank Burtnett calls Chronic Career Disorder (CCD). They are the active, semi-active and passive job seekers and changers who are searching for support and direction to help get their careers on track or back on track.

There are no vaccinations for CCD, but many remedies can be found in a fundamental understanding of the career development process and the psychological adjustments that will guide victims of CCD from where they are to where they want to be. Join the Lunch & Learn at noon on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 and Frank will share his thoughts on how search and staffing professionals can become exceptional career development facilitators.
