Denver Airport Rail
At a cost of $9 each way, travelers can use the rail service, known as the A Line, to get from the airport to Denver Union Station and vice versa courtesy of the Regional Transportation District (RTD), metro Denver's public transit provider.

The biggest surprise for visitors to Denver is the climate. The arid conditions bring only 8 to 15 inches of annual precipitation and locals wake up to more than 300 days of sunshine a year. That’s more annual hours of sun than Miami and San Diego.

Diverse Denver
The rich ethnic history and diverse cultural heritage of the city are celebrated with a number of events throughout the year, from the nation's largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in the spring to the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Festival in the fall. Summer brings the Colorado Gay Rodeo and Denver PrideFest, a celebration of community and culture. The historically rich African-American Five Points neighborhood is home to the Black American West Museum (3091 California St.), while the Museo de las Americas (861 Santa Fe Dr.) hosts some of the world's top contemporary artists from Latin America.

Rioja Denver COLocals' Hangouts
Don’t miss popular locals’ hangouts like Union Station. Sit outside on the patio or by the fountain. Inside, the swanky train station is home to 10 chef-owned restaurants and bars, boutique shops, including an outpost of the acclaimed Tattered Cover Book Store, with its main store and café just across the street.

Foodies rejoice because exploring Denver is like striking culinary gold (it was originally a Gold Rush town by the way). A few of the must-try restaurants are TAG, ChoLon and The Kitchen. With all the things to do and see, fast-casual dining at Avanti Food & Beverage, Modern Market and MAD Greens offer fresh, creative foods served quickly. Coffee is the black gold of today, so make a stop at Ink! Coffee, Tuscany Coffee & Deli and Mercantile Dining & Provision for a great cup of joe and other treats. For those sporting a sweet tooth and looking for desserts after a show or nice evening out, head to Food Network celebrity chef Keegan Gerhard’s D Bar, which also serves drinks, brunch, lunch and dinner.

One of Denver’s most stylish and vibrant blocks (and the oldest) is Larimer Square with a carefully curated mix of ultra-unique retailers, while Denver Pavilions features popular brands shoppers will recognize. Both Larimer Square and the Pavilions offer dining, nightlife and other entertainment to cap off shopping sprees.
